Release Note for ZyXEL omni.net LCD and LCD+M
Version 1.08 December 20, 1999
=============================================
1.The file name and the ISDN switch type is as follows:
--------------------------------------------------------
FILENAME SWITCH TYPE
"OL_E108.BIN" ------ DSS1
N/A ------ 1TR6 (German national)
N/A ------ USA (American versions, not yet)
2.New enhancement features:
==========================
2.1 Long distance call control:
This feature is used to restrict the long distance call dialing from the
two analog ports. When the phone port is locked, all phone dialing
starting with '0' will be automatically disconnected by TA. Please note
the setting of the feature is protected by system password. Relating AT
commands are listed below:
ATSK=n
where n=0 : unlock both phone port
1 : lock phone 1 only
2 : lock phone 2 only
3 : lock both phone 1 and phone 2
Please note you are asked entering supervisor password after ATSK=n
command entered. However, viewing the current setting is not
protected and can be done by ATSK? command.
2.2 Deem AT&F as ATZ:
Some application program running on PC will issue AT&F when initializing
TA. But users might need to have their own setting work under the
application. In this case, user can set ATS90.1=1&WZ. With s90.1=1,
command AT&F will be executed as ATZ so that the users' setting will not
be affected.
2.3 POST port MSN matching algorithm when running RVS_COM application:
In previous firmware, when running RVS_COM, the incoming voice call will
be routed to RVS_COM no matter the called party number matchs the
internal phone MSN or not. This behaviour is modified as below:
The called party number of incoming voice call is compared with the
internal MSN setting of the POTS ports, if it matchs, the call is routed
to the POTS port. If there is no POTS MSN matched in the comparison, the
call will be routed to RVS_COM application.
2.4 No busy tone after voice call is disconnected by the rmote user:
Some answering machine cannot react to busy tone after the remote user
leaves message and hangs up the call, it just keep recording. Two S
register bits are defined for blocking the busy tone for each POTS port
so that the answering machine can detect silence for a period of time
and then stop recording.
S87.0 = 1 : disable busy tone for POTS port A
= 0 : normal
S87.1 = 1 : disable busy tone for POTS port B
= 0 : normal
Note: these bits have been defined to work for locally generated busy
tone. The enhancement works for both inband and local busy tone.
2.5 Support Taiwan country code 210 for A-law codec:
Both A-law and u-law codec schemes are used in Taiwan now. So we need
specify the country code if the default codec mode does not comply with
the local switch.
Country code 238: default for Taiwan, mę-Law CODEC
Country code 210: Taiwan, A-Law CODEC
3.Fixed Bugs:
==============
3.1 Set China default CLID signal on POTS port as ETSI FSK, during ring.
3.2 For UK, country code 249, the calling party number is purposely dropped
in the setup message. Otherwise, there will no dial tone presented for
some old switch. This feature is now enabled since there is less old
switches in U.K now.
3.3 The following factory defaults have been changed for China, 222:
S121.4=1: always keep layer 2 link on
ATY2 : ETSI FSK caller id generation during ring 1 and ring 2.
3.4 From FOTOWIN send fax to fax machine, it can not stop until run time
error.
